252 of 623 Home Improvement Ads End in a Form. Who Turns Those Enquiries Into Contracts?
We examined 80 UK installers across windows, doors, roofing, conservatory roofs, driveways and landscaping. The findings reveal where paid homeowner enquiries can disappear before they become booked surveys and signed installation contracts.
Extreme Growth builds customer acquisition systems that connect those steps. From the message that attracts suitable homeowners to qualification, appointment booking, follow-up and signed contracts. Measured against one commercial outcome — your cost per contract won.

623 Live Ads. 80 Advertisers. The Same Expensive Weaknesses Keep Appearing.
We examined advertising across four groups of UK home improvement businesses — windows and doors, roofing, conservatory roofs and orangeries, and driveways and landscaping. We investigated where their advertisements directed homeowners and tested the pages those homeowners reached. Here's what we found.
Ended in instant enquiry forms
252 of the 623 advertisements examined ended in a form rather than a next step.
Carried a Book Now button
Every one opened an instant form rather than a booking calendar.
Landing pages scored below 50 on mobile performance
The median mobile performance score was 32.
Advertisers were running five creatives or fewer
A majority of the advertisers examined relied on a very small number of live creative variations.

The money has already been spent before the survey is even booked.
The pattern is familiar. The advertising attracts the homeowner. The homeowner expresses interest. Their details arrive. Then somebody in the business has to turn that interest into an appointment. And that appointment into a signed contract.
The advertising has already cost money before the survey is even booked — and the opportunity still depends on somebody being available to pick it up.
How does your acquisition process compare?

The 1 Problem With a Form That Waits for Somebody to Call Back.
Imagine a homeowner sees your advertisement on Friday evening. They've been thinking about replacing their windows. Or they've noticed a problem with their roof. Or they're finally ready to improve the driveway. They submit an enquiry.
Your office has closed. Your team is finishing the week's installations. The enquiry waits. Perhaps somebody calls on Monday. Perhaps the homeowner doesn't answer. Perhaps they've already arranged a survey with another installer.
You paid to create that opportunity. But the next step depended on somebody being available to pick it up.
Research from Invoca found that 27% of calls to home services businesses went unanswered, while fewer than 3% of callers sent to voicemail left a message.
The homeowner should be able to move towards the next step while they're still interested.
That means immediate response. Relevant qualification. And an appointment booking process that doesn't depend on somebody manually chasing every enquiry.

Different Home Improvements. Different Buyers. Different Reasons to Choose.
Windows & Doors
The homeowner wants confidence in the product, the installation and the price.
A homeowner replacing their windows may be concerned about heat loss, condensation, security, noise, appearance, installation disruption, and whether the new windows will deliver the improvement they're expecting.
For a whole-house installation, the investment can be substantial. According to MyBuilder's August 2026 figures, replacing 10 to 15 uPVC windows can cost approximately £4,000 to £7,000. Premium projects may reach £10,000 to £15,000.
Our research found that 111 of the 204 windows and doors advertisements examined used a Get Quote button. The challenge is what happens after the homeowner requests that quotation. Does the business understand the property, the number and type of windows, the homeowner's priorities, their expectations, and whether the project is suitable?
The acquisition process should establish the basics before your surveyor arrives.

Roofing
A roof enquiry can be urgent. Your response process needs to be ready.
A homeowner may have discovered a leak, noticed missing tiles, seen damage after bad weather, or decided that an ageing roof needs replacing. They're often looking for reassurance that somebody competent can assess the problem and explain what needs to happen.
Our research found that 97 of the 122 roofing advertisements examined ended in instant enquiry forms — approximately 80%, the highest instant-form share of the sectors we examined.
A roof replacement can represent a significant project. Checkatrade's figures referenced in our research put a typical replacement at approximately £8,000. But a homeowner requesting a minor repair is not necessarily a suitable prospect for a full roof replacement. Your qualification process should help establish the type of work required, and your response process should make it easier for suitable homeowners to arrange the next step promptly.
A homeowner requesting a minor repair is not necessarily a suitable prospect for a full roof replacement.

Conservatory Roofs & Orangeries
The homeowner wants to turn an uncomfortable space into a room they actually use.
Too hot in summer. Too cold in winter. Condensation. Noise. An ageing roof. A conservatory that sits empty for much of the year. These are familiar homeowner concerns. But replacing a conservatory roof and commissioning a premium orangery involve very different buying decisions.
One homeowner may be considering a relatively straightforward roof replacement. Another may be planning a substantial architectural improvement. Our research found that 13 of the 20 conservatory roof and orangery advertisers directed homeowners to ordinary website pages. Across the 15 landing pages tested, 14 scored below 50 on mobile performance.
A homeowner interested enough to investigate a substantial improvement should be able to understand the offer, establish suitability and move towards a consultation without unnecessary friction.
The project needs to be qualified before your team commits valuable survey and design time.

Driveways & Landscaping
A homeowner asking for a quote may still be a long way from knowing what they want.
A new driveway. A resin-bound surface. A landscaped garden. A patio. Fencing. Drainage. Groundworks. These projects vary considerably in scope. A homeowner may know the result they want without understanding the preparation, materials or installation requirements involved.
According to BestBuilders' August 2026 figures, a 60 square metre resin-bound driveway can cost approximately £2,800 to £5,000. Our research found that 13 of the 20 driveway and landscaping advertisers directed homeowners into instant forms. The median advertiser was running just three live advertisements.
For installers, the opportunity is to establish the type of project, property circumstances, location and homeowner expectations before arranging a site visit. So the sales team spends more time discussing suitable work.
The right questions before the site visit can save considerable time afterwards.

The Referral Effect
The Referral Effect Helps Homeowners Understand Why Your Business Is Worth Choosing.
Think about your best customer. Perhaps a neighbour recommended you. Perhaps they saw an installation you'd completed. Perhaps a previous customer described the experience. They had already seen evidence of your work. They knew something about the company. And they had a reason to trust you.
Now consider the homeowner who discovers your business through advertising. They may be comparing several installers. Looking at photographs. Checking reviews. Requesting quotations. Trying to understand why one company charges more than another. And wondering who they can trust to work on their property.
Your message has to help them understand the difference before the quotation arrives.
That's where our Referral Effect approach begins. We investigate the projects you most want to win, the homeowners who commission them, the concerns they have, the language they use, the details that matter to their decision, and the evidence that helps them choose with confidence.
Then we build that understanding into your advertising, landing pages, qualification journey and follow-up — so suitable homeowners recognise what makes your business worth considering before your surveyor begins the conversation.
Creative volume
Your Advertising Should Attract the Projects You Actually Want to Install.
Our research found that 44 of the 80 advertisers were running five creative advertisements or fewer. In roofing, 16 of the 20 advertisers were running five or fewer. In driveways and landscaping, 14 of the 20 were running five or fewer.
Consider the different reasons somebody might replace their windows: heat loss, security, appearance, condensation, noise, or a full property renovation. Those are different motivations. The same applies to roofing, conservatory improvements and landscaping. Different homeowners respond to different messages.
We develop and test advertising around the projects you want to win and the reasons suitable homeowners choose. Depending on the advertising investment and testing requirements, this can involve 10 to 100 creative variations across messages, images, video and formats.
The objective is to attract suitable opportunities and improve the cost of winning contracts.

The 1 Number That Matters More Than How Many Enquiries You Receive.
Cost per contract won.
Imagine two installation businesses spending the same amount attracting homeowners. Both receive enquiries. Both arrange surveys. Both prepare quotations. But one company wins more suitable projects from that investment.
The difference may sit in the message, the qualification, the appointment process, the speed of response, or what happens after the quotation is delivered.
A busy survey calendar can look encouraging. But if too many appointments are unsuitable, the acquisition process may be costing more than it should. We connect advertising expenditure and acquisition management costs to the signed contracts attributable to that activity. Then work on improving the process.
Because the objective is to win suitable installation contracts at a sustainable acquisition cost.
The Extreme Growth Acquisition System
7 Connected Improvements Designed to Turn Suitable Enquiries Into Signed Contracts.
Advertising Built Around Your Best Projects
We develop advertising around the installations you most want to win — whole-house glazing, premium doors, roof replacements, conservatory roof upgrades, orangeries, driveways and landscaping projects. Different creative approaches are tested to establish which messages attract suitable homeowners.
Fast Mobile Landing Pages
Homeowners reach dedicated landing pages designed to communicate the offer clearly and move them towards the appropriate next step — built for speed, clarity and conversion on the device most of them are using.
Interactive Project Qualification
A guided experience establishes the project type, approximate requirements, property circumstances, location, timing and other relevant information. The qualification process is tailored to the service being offered.
Surveys and Consultations Booked Directly
Suitable homeowners can book the appropriate appointment as part of the qualification journey. Your team receives the project information before the visit.
Immediate Enquiry Response
Automated messaging and conversation systems help respond when your office is closed or your team is occupied — keeping suitable homeowners engaged and moving towards the appointment.
Acquisition Reporting Connected To Contracts
We connect enquiries, appointments, quotations and signed contracts so acquisition decisions can be informed by actual sales outcomes — not just form fills.
Sales Process Improvement
We work with your business on the journey from consultation to quotation and signed contract. That includes how the value of the proposed installation is communicated and how suitable opportunities are followed up.
One connected acquisition process.

What If Your Surveyors Spent More Time On Projects That Were Actually a Good Fit?
Consider what changes when the homeowner reaches the survey with the basics already established. You know the type of project. You understand the approximate scope. You know the property is in your service area. You have an indication of their expectations. And the homeowner has already encountered information that helps them understand your approach.
The surveyor can spend more of the appointment discussing the installation itself. The sales conversation can begin with a clearer understanding of what the homeowner wants.
That is the purpose of connecting the message, qualification and appointment process.
Discover which parts of your current process deserve attention first.
Delivery
Built and Launched Within 30 Days.
We begin by understanding your installation business: your target projects, your service area, your survey capacity, your current acquisition activity, and how your team handles enquiries and quotations.
Then we build the agreed acquisition system — the positioning, the advertising, the landing pages, the qualification journey, the appointment booking, the response process and the reporting.
Our commitment is to build and launch the agreed system within 30 days of commencement. From there, we measure performance and improve the parts of the process affecting the cost of winning contracts.
The Guarantee
A 90 Day Commitment to Improving Your Acquisition Cost.
Before we begin, we establish your current cost per contract won — using agreed advertising expenditure, acquisition management costs and signed contracts attributable to that activity. That becomes the starting baseline.
Our commitment is to bring your cost per contract won below that agreed baseline within 90 days.
If we don't, we continue working without our management fee until we do.
The guarantee is subject to agreed conditions, including accurate sales reporting, timely enquiry handling and the operational cooperation needed to measure performance.
Two Ways to Build a Better Acquisition Process.
Extreme Growth works with established installation businesses that want their customer acquisition system built and operated for them. We also support smaller installation companies that want to implement the system themselves.
Done For You
For established businesses with installation capacity, meaningful contract values and existing acquisition investment.
We lead the strategy, build the system and manage the acquisition process.
Guided Implementation
For smaller businesses that want access to the tools, systems, training and support needed to operate the process internally.
The guided implementation route is available from £997 per month. The Installation Profit Audit helps us understand which approach may be appropriate for your business. You don't need to choose a package before taking the assessment.
Exclusivity
One Installation Partner Per Agreed Service Category and Territory.
We work with one installation partner per agreed service category within a protected area. If we partner with a window installation business covering Berkshire, we won't build a competing acquisition system for another window installer in that protected territory.
Roofing, conservatory improvements, driveways and landscaping are assessed according to their service categories and any overlap with existing partners. Territory availability is checked before entering an agreement — because our work involves understanding your market, your customers, your positioning and your acquisition economics in detail.
